From Consumer Coffee to Coffee Expertise
The Origins of Suzuki Coffee
A legacy of roasting begins in Japan when Grand Master Kiyoshi Suzuki opened a small kissaten with its own roastery in Kojimachi, Tokyo. Driven by a pursuit of roasting perfection, he pioneered the Sumiyaki charcoal-roasting technique that would become part of Suzuki Coffee’s enduring heritage.
Group begins operations in Southeast Asia
The origins of the Group trace back to 1963, when the business first began operating within Southeast Asia’s consumer beverage industry.
Established Suzuki Cafe
Introduced the first Japanese gourmet coffee to Singapore, with the first shop established in Bukit Timah, Singapore.
Established Suzuki Coffee Roastery
As demand for high-quality coffee experiences increased, Suzuki expanded its operations and introduced a roastery in Ang Mo Kio, Singapore.
Appointed Franke distributor in Singapore
As hospitality standards evolved, the business identified an opportunity to transform how beverages were served within HoReCa environments across Southeast Asia.
